New Releases - August 3rd, 2026

🚀 What's New This Month in Civalgo?

These new features will be availablet hroughout the month.

This month, we've focused on making resource planning faster, improving data quality, and simplifying the way your teams work in Civalgo.

Here's what's new 👇

Plan resources faster with generic employees and equipment

You can now assign generic employees and generic equipment directly from the Dispatcher.

Previously, this could only be done by opening each Daily Log individually, making the process time-consuming.

Now, you can plan your work directly from the timeline while keeping your Daily Logs accurate and up to date.

The result? Faster dispatching and less manual work for your team.

Daily Logs are now easier to read

We've redesigned the resource cards in Daily Logs to make important information easier to identify at a glance.

You can now quickly see details such as:

  • Employee occupation

  • Organization

  • Additional resource information

This makes it much easier to identify the right people and equipment, especially on larger projects with many resources.

A completely redesigned Organizations page

The Organizations page has been rebuilt from the ground up.

You can now:

  • Assign a primary contact

  • Store email addresses and phone numbers

  • Attach custom properties to organizations

The new layout is cleaner, more intuitive, and provides the information your team needs in one place.

It also brings greater consistency across the platform, making organization data easier to maintain over time.

Before moving on to the refactored layout of the organizations page it’s worth mentioning that the form has also been reworked to include those new fields.

Custom properties are now available on projects

Projects now support custom properties, giving you more flexibility to organize and manage project information.

This enhancement keeps Projects consistent with other areas of Civalgo that already support custom properties and makes your data easier to structure as your business grows.

Coming soon: More accurate labor cost calculations

We're putting the finishing touches on a major improvement to Civalgo's labor cost calculations.

Soon, Civalgo will automatically account for:

  • Shift schedules

  • Overtime calculations

  • Automatic pay rate selection

Furthermore, this feature computes how many hours are in overtime or double overtime based on the shift configuration

Why does this matter?

For many contractors, overtime represents a significant portion of labor costs. Today, this can create a noticeable gap between estimated and actual job costs.

By automatically accounting for shift rules and overtime, Civalgo will provide more accurate real-time labor costs, giving you a clearer picture of your project's profitability.

Stay tuned, this feature is coming soon.

A more flexible navigation experience

We've improved the Civalgo sidebar to help you navigate the platform more efficiently.

You can now:

  • Collapse and expand menu sections to to hide a section you don’t want to see

  • Access all settings from a single drop down

  • Pin the navigation menu open or have it automatically close after selecting a page
