# Create equipment

Create, import and manage your equipment in order to have a precise follow-up in Civalgo

## Create equipment

1. Navigate to the “Equipment” page
2. Click on the “New Equipment” button at the top right to start creating

1. Please enter the required fields:
   1. Name: Allows you to identify the equipment when you need to choose this equipment from a list. This name should be representative for you as well as for your construction workers. If you operate by equipment code, for example ZX200, or by internal name, for example Old Case, then this is the name that must be entered
   2. Code (Optional): Unique identifier for the equipment
   3. Type: Allows you to assign costs automatically based on the type of equipment.
   4. Template (Optional): Additional Information
   5. Brand (Optional): Additional Information
   6. License plate (Optional): Additional Information
   7. Vehicle identification number (Optional): Additional Information
   8. Organization: The equipment that you will track in your daily reports may be the equipment of your subcontractors, so the name of the organization must reflect the owner of this equipment. It allows costs to be assigned automatically based on the organization of the equipment and the type of equipment. Costs will also be sorted according to internal or external resources.
   9. Team (Optional): Allows the equipment to be automatically assigned to a team and thus to a daily report when it is created
   10. Operator (Optional): Indicate the employee who operates this equipment most often, the employee will be automatically added when the equipment is added to a daily log.
   11. Properties (Optional): Additional fields to organize your equipment and keep additional information.
2. Click on the “Confirm” button and your equipment will be created.

## Importing equipment

1. Navigate to the “Equipment” page
2. Click on the options button at the top right and then on “CSV import”

1. Click “Upload file” or enter your details manually
   1. If you are uploading a file, it must be a CSV file. You will then need to associate the columns in your file with the columns displayed.
   2. If you use the manual function, simply copy and paste the information previously filled in from an Excel whose columns are ordered as shown on the import page.
2. Revise the errors indicated by our tool if necessary
3. Click on the “Import” button and your equipment is created
